NTD Television to Adapt John Moody's Hui Trilogy into Geopolitical Thriller Series

Canadian broadcaster New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada) has finalized an agreement to develop a scripted drama series based on bestselling author John Moody's Hui Trilogy. The series, currently titled Of Course They Knew..., will be adapted for television by International Emmy-nominated David Cormican and Emmy-nominated Dwayne Hill, who will serve as showrunners and executive producers.

The geopolitical conspiracy thriller explores the silent collapse of Western society as it falls under the influence of a covert global campaign driven by disinformation, artificial intelligence, and psychological warfare. Told through the intertwined lives of ordinary citizens across multiple continents, the series examines how truth becomes the most dangerous weapon in a new kind of global conflict. This adaptation arrives at a time when concerns about information integrity and technological influence on society have reached unprecedented levels.

"Partnering with NTD on Of Course They Knew... allows us to bring an urgent and deeply relevant story to the screen at a time when the boundaries between information, propaganda, and power have never been more blurred," said David Cormican. "John Moody's trilogy reads like tomorrow's headlines, and we believe it has the scope and scale to become a truly global television event." The project represents NTD's expanding slate of premium scripted drama with international appeal, developed in association with the Canada Media Fund.

Joe Wang, President of New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada), stated, "We are excited to collaborate with Washington Square Entertainment and this exceptional creative team to develop a series that speaks directly to the political and technological realities shaping the modern world. Of Course They Knew... aligns with our commitment to telling stories that examine the forces influencing freedom, truth, and democracy on an international stage." The broadcaster provides news and cultural programming with a focus on stories exploring freedom, human rights, and societal forces through its platform at https://www.ntd.com.

Author John Moody, former Executive Editor of Fox News, noted the increasing relevance of his work: "This story was written as a warning, but it has become increasingly clear that the world is moving closer to the reality it imagines. I'm proud to be working with my agent Alan Morell at CMP and this team to bring the Hui Trilogy to television in a way that captures both its scale and its urgency." Moody's publisher Brick Tower Press, which publishes his works including the Hui Trilogy, can be found at https://www.bricktowerpress.com.

The television adaptation is being developed as a multi-season dramatic series with Cormican and Hill attached to co-write and executive produce. Executive producers include David Cormican and Dwayne Hill for Washington Square Entertainment, Sophia Sun for Yonderland Productions, and John Moody. Four-star General Wesley K. Clark, U.S. Army (Ret.), former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO, has been engaged as a consultant on the series' military, intelligence, and international political storylines.

The development and rights agreement was negotiated by Alan Morell of Creative Management Partners (CMP) on behalf of the rights holders, together with Washington Square Entertainment, Yonderland Productions, Brick Tower Press and NTD. Of Course They Knew... is being developed by Washington Square Entertainment, Fun Republic Pictures, and Yonderland Productions, in association with NTD (Canada) and the Canada Media Fund. This collaboration represents a significant investment in scripted content that addresses contemporary global concerns through narrative television.
