Award-winning author Jody Sharpe has announced that her bestselling Christmas book, 'The Dog Who Came For Christmas,' will be available in ebook form at no charge on December 15 and 16, 2025, at Amazon. The holiday story features meteorologist and psychic Gayle Force Knight, who receives an angelic vision while sleeping and embarks on a rescue mission with her intuitive husband Alex Knight and friends, discovering that "there are always angels at the helm" during their journey.
Most of Sharpe's books feature angels and carry a strong anti-bullying message. In a recent post titled 'It's A Wonderful Life & My Very Own Angel' on her website at https://jodysharpe.com/blog, Sharpe explained how the iconic Christmas film 'It's A Wonderful Life' inspired her Mystic Bay series. She wrote that the film's themes "resonate today as bullies around the globe try to bring us down to our knees," drawing parallels between the film's antagonist Mr. Potter and contemporary bullying.
Sharpe is currently writing her eighth book in the Mystic Bay Series, where "angels live as humans guiding the townsfolk with love." She noted that in 'It's A Wonderful Life,' the protagonist George Bailey "changes his attitude and handles the bully as he realizes his wonderful life," with the town coming together to help him through friendship. This community-against-bullying dynamic mirrors the approach in Sharpe's own work.
Other books by Sharpe include 'To Catch an Angel,' written in memory of her late husband Steve, which follows psychic Maggie Malone's return to Mystic Bay, California, where "miracles happen" and "angels are calling." The 'Town Of Angels' series directly addresses bullying through narratives where angels in human form help residents confront antagonists like Klaus Waxman, who opens "a store mocking the resident angel sightings." In 'Town Of Angels Christmas,' angel Ken and veterinarian Jordana Hart work together on a horse rescue mission before Christmas.
Sharpe's memoir 'Special Needs Children, The Angels On My Shoulder' details her twenty-five years teaching children with special needs and placed second in the National Federation Of Press Women's At-Large Communication contest. The book explores how children with "hearts of angels" inspired her own journey of self-discovery. Her children's book 'When The Angel Sent Butterflies' helps children understand that "love conquers fear" and that "believing that angels are near can help sweep any childhood fear away."
On the "Tuesdays With The Angels" section of her site at http://www.jodysharpe.com, Sharpe presents stories of real-life encounters with angels and welcomes submissions at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. Her YouTube channel addresses bullying, particularly as it relates to special needs children. Sharpe was chosen as a winner in the annual "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards and has two new screen treatments available for 'The Angel's Daughter' and 'Town Of Angels Christmas.'
