Just Brooke, LLC has moved from a stated ambition to a working enterprise, founder Kami Alaniz said, with books in publication, a weekly podcast on the air and a website that now consolidates her coaching, courses, ministry and media work.
When Alaniz introduced Helping People Like Me Ministry to the public in 2025, she was still assembling much of the vision she had developed over more than three decades as a Registered Nurse. A little more than a year later, she said the difference is visible rather than aspirational. "Back then, I was telling you what I hoped Just Brooke could become," Alaniz says. "Today, I can show you."
The structure now includes Helping People Like Me Ministry — A Just Brooke Kingdom Initiative, described as the faith-centered mission behind the company, and Just Brooke Productions, its publishing and production brand. Her books are being published and sold on Amazon, with additional titles in development, and the expanded www.JustBrooke.net now brings together her books, coaching, courses, classes, ministry and media.
The development matters to readers beyond Alaniz's own audience because it puts practical resources behind a message aimed at people navigating healthcare bureaucracy and personal burnout at the same time. Alaniz continued working as a traveling nurse while building Just Brooke, and she said that work keeps her close to the people she hopes to reach: patients, families and healthcare professionals facing financial concerns, caregiver exhaustion and uncertainty about what happens next.
That overlap is the premise of her newest media venture, APPROVED or DENIED: Decoding Medicare, Medicaid, & Beyond — For Professionals, Patients & Providers. The weekly podcast airs Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Central and draws on her more than 33 years in nursing. "Healthcare is not one-dimensional, and neither are people," Alaniz says. The "& Beyond" in the title is intentional: a conversation may begin with Medicare or Medicaid but acknowledge that the person dealing with it may also be exhausted, worried about family or struggling with faith. Alaniz is beginning to add guests from different professional backgrounds, and each episode includes a Book of the Week tied to the topic discussed.
Just Brooke Productions has also launched Across the Table with Kami, a short-form video series covering healthcare, her books and faith, which viewers can follow on her Facebook page.
The media expansion is opening another direction Alaniz wants to pursue more actively: speaking to healthcare professionals, patients and families on Medicare and difficult care decisions, and to churches, conferences and community organizations on burnout, forgiveness, faith and purpose. "I don't want people to simply hear an inspirational message and go home," she says. "I want to give them something they can actually use in their lives."
Her books, classes, coaching and educational programs are intended to let people continue that work after an initial conversation, connected by her R3B Empowerment Method™: Remove Blocks, Reset, Rediscover Yourself, and Build Your Dream Life.
Alaniz said she expects continued growth across Just Brooke Productions, publishing, the podcast and speaking, but she ties the expansion back to the original purpose of Helping People Like Me Ministry: reaching people who have spent years caring for others and now find themselves exhausted, hurting or unsure of their next chapter. "When I look back at where I was when I started and compare it with where we are today, it is pretty incredible," she says.
