WILMINGTON, NC – Bestselling author Jody Sharpe has officially issued a call for angel stories, inviting the public to submit their personal encounters with angels. These stories, which may be featured on her YouTube channel and potentially woven into her next book, reflect Sharpe's long-standing fascination with angelic experiences—both her own and those shared by others. The announcement comes as Sharpe prepares to write a prequel to her popular Mystic Bay series, titled New Angel In Town, which fictionalizes many such encounters.
Sharpe, a 1st Place Winner of the 2023 and 2024 National Association of Press Women's Communications Contest Awards for Fiction Novellas, has long incorporated angel stories into her work. Her latest book, New Angel In Town, is based on stories she has gathered over the years. The novel follows Guardian Angel Ron as he descends to Mystic Bay, California, to ensure his charge, a boy in foster care named Evan, finds a forever home. Meanwhile, writer Noah Greenstreet works on a film showcasing the townsfolk's angel encounters, and the story explores themes of love, bullying, and the decision of whether angels choose to stay in the harmonious town.

Not all stories are accepted, but those that are may be included on her YouTube channel at Sharpe's YouTube channel and in her upcoming prequel to the Mystic Bay series. “I have heard so many angel encounters from others that I've been compelled to tell them in my novellas and on my channel,” Sharpe stated. “I am writing a new novella, a prequel to the Mystic Bay series, and I will weave more of new stories people tell me and those of my own into the book.”
